AirParcel is a pen-pal app built like a flight game. It's for people who want something slower and more considered than chat: friends abroad, family in another time zone, strangers who'd like a pen pal.

Every letter is a real flight

Flight time is the distance between the two airports divided by the aircraft's speed. New York to Tokyo on the starter prop takes 31 hours.

Letters, photos, voice notes, documents

Up to 25 MB in the hold. None of it can be opened until the aircraft lands.

Everything two people have sent each other sits in one thread, in order, like a bundle of letters.

STEP 1 · WRITE

Write to someone by name.

Pick a person from your flock, and the route fills itself in: your home airport to theirs. Up to 500 characters, plus cargo once they've written back.

Pick the aircraft.

Every aircraft shows its speed, the exact flight time for this route, and what it costs in Fuel. This is where people decide how much waiting is worth.

Commit it to the sky.

The last screen shows the cost and the landing time. Attach Fuel as a gift if you like, then dispatch. Once it's in the air, it can't be taken back.

Both people can follow the flight live. They get a notification when it lands, and the letter opens only then.
